The Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale Cup and Lisa Fiaola Cup teams will both feature in Week 2 of their respective competition semi-finals this weekend.

On an action-packed Saturday at Leichhardt Oval, these junior representative girls sides will look to progress into the preliminary finals.
Both teams featured in Week 1 of the post-season last weekend, with the Lisa Fiaola Cup (U/17’s) girls scoring a 32-6 win over Canberra and Tarsha Gale Cup (U/19’s) narrowly falling to a 10-8 defeat to Canterbury.
The Tarsha Gale team remains in the competition after finishing the regular season in third place.

With both teams preparing for Saturday’s huge matches against the Sharks and Roosters Indigenous Academy respectively, Lisa Fiaola Cup coach Scott Clark reflected on his side’s season to date and the task they have ahead.
As a coach, I am really proud of these girls in what they have achieved up to this point of the season.

"We only played Sharks two weeks ago, and we know they’re a side that stays in the grind and can take their opportunities when given.
“The players did learn a few things from that game, which was good for our preparation leading into finals but playing finals footy is a different game.
“This week, as coaches, we have kept things simple in our preparation and focused on the areas of our game that we need to improve to hopefully change the result from two weeks ago.”

Both matches take place at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday, with Lisa Fiaola Cup kicking off from 9:45 am.
