Pathways Preview: Week 9

The last round of the junior representative season takes place this weekend as some Wests Tigers Pathways teams look towards finals.

UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) - Western Suburbs Magpies 

Wests need to win to keep their slim finals hopes alive in Round 9 as they take on the Raiders in Canberra.

The Magpies hold a four-win, four-loss record for the season and face Canberra, who sit in third place on the table.

After starring in last weekend's Laurie Daley Cup Grand Final loss, Glassie Glassie returns to the side at centre.

UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) - Balmain Tigers

Balmain also need to win this weekend and rely on other results to fall their way to potentially secure a finals spot.

They sit on 10 competition points and face Illawarra, who are on 11 points.

Logan Brookes has provided a fresh spark of energy to the side since returning from injury in recent weeks.

Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup (Under 19s) - Wests Tigers 

The Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale Cup team have already locked in a finals spot and play Cronulla in their final preparation for the post-season matches.

Currently in third, they play at Sharks Stadium on Saturday morning and can finish as high as second if they were to score a big victory.

Co-captains Evie McGrath and Lucyannah Luamanu-Leiataua line up at five-eighth and second row, respectively.

UNE Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s) - Western Suburbs Magpies

Wests Magpies play their final game of the Harold Matthews Cup season on Sunday afternoon.

They take on the North Sydney Bears at Hills Grammar, Kenthurst.

Wests hold a two-win, five-loss record for the season. 

UNE Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s) - Balmain Tigers

The Tigers also run out for their last game of the 2025 season this weekend.

The U/17's Balmain boys line up against the Steelers on Saturday morning at Leichhardt Oval.

This side holds a two-win, five-loss record for the season. 

Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup (Under 17s) - Wests Tigers 

The Wests Tigers Lisa Fiaola Cup team has also locked up a finals spot with one week to spare.

They face the Sharks away from home in their final hitout before the finals series begins.

The Wests Tigers U/17's girls hold a five-win, two-loss record to date in 2025.
