Match Preview: NRL Round 5 vs Broncos

Wests Tigers will once again travel to Queensland this weekend, as they take on the Broncos on Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium.

The Round 5 clash in Brisbane sees the visitors looking to score their third victory of the season after two wins and two losses to begin the 2025 campaign.

In team news, co-captain Jarome Luai is out through suspension, replaced by exciting teenager Latu Fainu.

The teen will play halfback in Luai’s absence after his impressive try-scoring performance in Round 4.

Adam Doueihi (groin) returns to the side at centre this week, with Jack Bird moving back to the interchange bench.

Luke Laulilii takes the place of Solomona Faataape on the wing in Round 5, after the 18-year-old made his return from a concussion-forced absence last weekend.

For the Broncos, Jordan Riki is out through suspension, to be replaced by Brendan Piakura at second row. Jaiyden Hunt joins the Brisbane interchange bench.

Wests Tigers have won four of the last six matches between these two sides, however, the Broncos have been victorious on the most recent two occasions.

The last victory Wests Tigers had over Brisbane was in Round 20, 2022, at Suncorp.
