Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that NRLW pair Tara Reinke and Claudia Nielsen will remain with the club for the 2025 season.
Both Reinke and Nielsen joined the club last season on one-year deals and have extended their contracts to remain at Wests Tigers ahead of the 2025 campaign.
A hard-working middle forward, Reinke has a powerlifting background and played every Wests Tigers match of the 2024 season.
Nielsen is a reliable, consistent outside back from a Rugby 7’s background who impressed after making her NRLW debut in the latter rounds of last year’s campaign.
The duo are delighted to stay on with Wests Tigers in 2025.
“I’m super excited and grateful to be back at the Tigers for the 2025 season,” said Reinke.
“I really enjoyed my time here last year and I can’t wait to get back down to Sydney and train the house down with the girls.”
Nielsen echoed her teammate’s sentiments.
“The Tigers are my family, my sisters and I’m ready to build on the lessons and momentum from last season towards a legacy with the 2025 squad,” said Nielsen.

NRLW Head Coach Brett Kimmorley is thrilled that both Nielsen and Reinke will remain a part of the Wests Tigers Jungle into a second year.
“It’s great to have Claudia and Tara back on board with us for another season,” said Kimmorley.
“Tara was a really consistent player for us in her first year with the club and she adds a lot to our middles.
“At 25, Tara’s still young for a middle forward so I also think her best football is still to come.”
“Claudia worked really hard to get her chance at the top level late in the season and she was a part of our two victories.”
“She’s an all-effort player and I’m excited to see where she can get to with another year in rugby league.”
Wests Tigers will release more news about their 2025 squad in the coming weeks.
The NRLW season kicks off in early July with pre-season to start in May.
