Pathways prospect extends until 2027

Wests Tigers are delighted to announce that Pathways forward Pheonix Godinet has extended with the club until the end of the 2027 season.

A 17-year-old second-rower, Godinet is a damaging ball-runner playing in his first season with the Wests Magpies SG Ball Cup team in 2025.

Godinet joined the Wests Tigers Pathways program in 2023 and was a key member of the Magpies’ Harold Matthews Cup team who reached the Grand Final last season.

Pheonix scored an outstanding solo try to open the scoring in the 34-16 defeat to the Warriors.

“Pheonix is an extremely hard worker and someone we are very happy to have locked in until at least the end of 2027,” said Wests Tigers Pathways & Recruitment Manager Shannon Gallant.

“He’s been a shining light in the Wests SG Ball squad this year and it’ll be great to see him start to progress into the NRL setup in years to come.”
