UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) - Western Suburbs Magpies

The Wests Magpies SG Ball Cup side has produced their second dominant win of the season, coming away with a 42-14 win over Illawarra in Round 5.

Pheonix Godinet was outstanding in the victory, with the second-rower proving extremely hard to handle with the ball throughout the match.

Christian Taupau-Moors, Riley Oitmann and Josh Patrick all scored doubles for Wests in an impressive team performance at Collegians Sporting Complex.

Magpies 42 (Taupau-Moors 2, Patrick 2, Oitmann 2, Fuatimau, Makasini tries; Makasini 1/3 goals, Oitmann 4/5 goals) defeated Steelers 14 (Langdon, Meafou, Reed tries; Reed 1/3 goals) at Collegians Sporting Complex.

UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) - Balmain Tigers

Balmain's unbeaten run in the SG Ball Cup was ended on Saturday after a heavy 52-4 defeat to Souths in Round 5.

After the Tigers trailed 16-4 at the break, a dominant Rabbitohs team produced a clinical second half at Redern Oval to send the visitors home bitterly disappointed.

A 20th-minute four-pointer to winger Filipe Huahulu was Balmain's sole try of the day.

Rabbitohs 52 (Keung 2, Humphries, Alvarez, Fong, Ballard, Jennings, Logan, Black Berryman tries; Humphries 6/7 goals, Poynton 2/2 goals) defeated Tigers 4 (Huahulu try; Tannous 0/1 goals) at Redfern Oval.

Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup (Under 19s) - Wests Tigers 

Wests Tigers secured a 10-4 away victory over the Dragons on Saturday in Round 5 of the Tarsha Gale Cup.

After trailing 4-0 at half-time, the visitors kept St. George scoreless in the second stanza and tries to Tiresa Leasuasu and Olivia Saley secured the victory. 

Wests Tigers' record for the 2025 season now sits at four wins, and one loss.

Wests Tigers 10 (Leasuasu, Saley tries; Barnett 1/2 goals) defeated Dragons 4 (Ahmat try; Antoniolli 0/1 goals) at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

UNE Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s) - Western Suburbs Magpies 

The Magpies have fallen to a heartbreaking 16-12 defeat to Illawarra in Round 5 of the Harold Matthews Cup.

Leading the match with just six minutes to go, the Steelers scored two late tries to snatch victory at Collegians Sporting Complex, Wollongong.

Electric centre Yacoub Ali Jida produced an outstanding step to score one of the tries of the afternoon in the eighth minute.

Steelers 16 (Andrews, Ballinger, Burton tries; Humphries 2/3 goals) defeated Magpies 12 (Ali Jida, Vella tries; Vella 2/2 goals) at Collegians Sporting Complex.

UNE Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s) - Balmain Tigers

Balmain's U/17's have been defeated 38-6 by the Central Coast Roosters in Round 5 of the Harold Matthews Cup.

The home side was dominant at Woy Woy Oval, leading 22-0 at half-time and maintaining their ascendancy into the second half.

A quality try to Tigers fullback Thomas Aroyan in which he collected a chip kick from Christian Azzi was Balmain's only try of the afternoon.

CC Roosters 38 (Foini 2, Watts, Gibbs, Ekepati, Devaney, Mareko tries; Mareko 5/7 goals) defeated Tigers 6 (Aroyan try; Azzi 1/1 goals) at Woy Woy Oval.

Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup (Under 17s) - Wests Tigers

The Wests Tigers Lisa Fiaola Cup team secured a 54-0 win over St. George in Round 5.

A hat-trick from winger Charlotte Withers, and a typically strong performance from classy half Mia Tonga put the visiting team on their way to victory at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah. 

Wests Tigers now hold a 3-2 record in the 2025 season. 

Wests Tigers 54 (Withers 3, Tonga 2, McMenemy, Seville, Tu'ifua, Phillips, Munro, Casey tries; Faaui 5/11 goals) defeated Dragons 0 at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
