Saturday’s Members Only Training Session proved an outstanding day out for those in attendance at the Zurich Centre.
The morning kicked off with Wests Tigers’ recruits being presented to the crowd by new ground announcer, Scotty McRae, with all six players receiving enormous roars of approval from the club’s faithful.
After completing a training session in the summer heat, the players met with Members around the ground to sign autographs and take photos.
Jarome Luai spent 90 minutes meeting every waiting supporter and even received a gift of his own, one fan issuing him with a gold tiger chain.
Luai swapped the chain for a pair of his boots, with the young fan ecstatic at the trade.
You can hear more about Jarome’s experience since joining the club on the latest episode of Behind the Roar, which drops tonight at 7 pm.
Later in the day, two more of the club’s 2025 signings, Sunia Turuva and Terrell May, spoke to the gathered media for the first time as Wests Tigers players.
“It’s amazing, to be honest, I never expected this turnout,” May said.
“It’s good to see all the Members and fans here and it’s good to be a Tiger.
“I was here before when I was younger and I’m glad to be back.
“I like the colours, I like the people; kind of feels like home.”
Turuva discussed his decision to join the club with Wests Tigers skipper Api Koroisau (Turuva's cousin), playing a big part in getting the deal done.
“He [Koroisau] was real influential, once he found out I was in talks with them, we’d message every day,” Turuva said.
“He was just letting me know that the club’s heading in the right direction here and that started well when Romey signed.
We’ve got something pretty special building here and I’m just keen to see it.

The first chance to see Wests Tigers' 2025 NRL side in action will be in February's Pre-season Challenge, with Members able to purchase tickets to the club's match against the Eels at Leichhardt Oval now.
