Can’t Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers echoed through the Zurich Centre, as 80 youngsters hauled a tarpaulin half the size of a football field to unveil Pepper Money as Wests Tigers’ new major sponsor.

As far as announcements go, it was loud and clear, signalling a new era and a new look for Wests Tigers ahead of the 2025 season.

The event, hosted by radio personality Anthony Maroon, was headlined by the reveal of the club’s 2025 playing jerseys, with Pepper Money proudly emblazoned on the front.

A group of Wests Tigers pathways players and students from the nearby Rosebank College were on hand to remove the giant tarp from the jerseys, which were spray-painted onto the field.

Following the reveal, a press conference was held, in which senior figures from both Wests Tigers and Pepper Money discussed the exciting new deal.

“It’s really great to have a company like Pepper Money involved for the next three years,” said Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson.

“It’s a historic day and as we’ve said in the press release, it’s the largest sponsorship in the club’s history.

“To have a company like Pepper Money become involved with us at this level is a real statement about where we’re going as a club.”

Mario Rehayem also spoke with pride at his company’s fresh commitment to Wests Tigers.

“The most exciting part for us is a combination of things,” said Rehayem.

“They have pretty much the same fanbase as our customer base and that is very important for us.

“It’s a bit of an opportunity for us to be able to give back to the community through Wests Tigers Empower program, the focus on domestic violence and a number of other community initiatives.”

The partnership marks the biggest sponsorship deal in Wests Tigers’ 25-year history.
