2025 Draws announced for NRL & NRLW

Wests Tigers will play eight of 12 NRL home games on a Sunday afternoon in 2025, with no Thursday night games, and just the one five-day turnaround.

CEO Shane Richardson has described the Tigers 2025 NRL Draw as “one of the best he’s seen” in his 30 years in rugby league club administration.

Another improvement will see our club play four double-headers where Wests Tigers NRL and NRLW teams play back-to-back games, compared to last season which saw no double-headers at all.

Something else to look forward to in 2025 will be a new Indigenous Festival of Footy at Allianz Stadium, which will include a Wests Tigers home game as part of the three-day schedule.

The first edition of the Allianz extravaganza will see the Tigers host Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on Sunday 17th August.

Wests Tigers' NRL season will kick off at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Friday 7th March against the Newcastle Knights with the second of four games at Campbelltown to be played against the Warriors three weeks later.

The other two games in Campbelltown are against teams the Tigers beat at the same venue last season, South Sydney in Round 11 and Canberra in Round 16.  Yep, the Raiders, in Campbelltown, and once again in Round 16.  Will history repeat?

Wests Tigers will host three massive home games at CommBank Stadium next season, against the Eels, the Panthers and the Bulldogs. We suggest those without a Membership or match ticket get in early.

The Western Sydney venue will turn into Wests Tigers’ Jungle for the traditional Easter Monday blockbuster against Eels in Round 7, and also for the Sunday afternoon games against the Panthers in Round 14 and the Bulldogs in Round 22.

All three NRL games at Leichhardt Oval in 2025 will also be played on a Sunday afternoon.  Fill the hill. Jam the jungle. Get in early. Get ready to roar.

Like last season, Wests Tigers' first home game at Leichhardt, will be played against the Sharks.  The ‘eighth wonder’ was a happy hunting ground for the Tigers against the Sharks last season, with next season’s fixture be played in ANZAC Round.

The other two games at Leichhardt are at the back end of the season and are NRL/NRLW double-headers against the Titans in July and the Cowboys in August.

The Titans left Leichhardt empty handed last season, while the match against North Queensland will hold special significance, 20 years on from Wests Tigers grand final triumph over the Cowboys.

In a 17-team competition that spans 27 rounds with three byes, every team plays each other once, with both home and away games against eight teams. This gives each team a total of 24 fixtures.

The eight teams that Wests Tigers play twice are the Cowboys, Eels, Knights, Panthers, Raiders, Sea Eagles, Titans, Warriors.

2025 NRLW DRAW

Wests Tigers' third season in the NRLW will see the introduction of Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, and the reintroduction of the New Zealand Warriors, in an expanded 12 team competition to be played across 11 rounds.

Wests Tigers' traditional home grounds, Leichhardt Oval and Campbelltown Sports Stadium, will host two games each, with both Leichhardt games to form part of double-headers with the NRL side.

The first match of the season for our NRLW team is an away trip to Brisbane to take on the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Then, a bit of history in the making for our first home game of the season, when our team tackles the Bulldogs for the very first time at Campbelltown.

Another game to circle on the calendar following last season’s final-round victory in the Shire is the Round 4 clash against the Sharks at Cronulla.

CEO COMMENTS

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson says his club’s draw is much improved on last season.

“We are very happy with the draw, and now it’s full steam ahead as we prepare for the new season," said Richardson.

“We’re really pleased with the way our home games look, particularly with eight of our 12 NRL home games in the family-friendly Sunday afternoon timeslot.  We have no Thursday night games, and just three on a Friday night.

“We’ve got some terrific home games against Sydney-based teams to look forward to, which is more than we had last season.

Another improvement is an increase in free to air television of our home games on Nine, which will enable even more exposure for our major sponsors.

Shane Richardson Wests Tigers CEO

“The fact that we have four NRL/NRLW double headers in 2025, compared to last season when we had no double headers at all, is a real plus for our club.

“We’re really pleased with how it looks commercially, and for our Members and fans who will get to enjoy some brilliant match day experiences.

“From a performance perspective it also looks great with just the one five-day turnaround for the NRL team, compared to three short backups last season.

“I’ve seen some disappointing draws in my time, but this is certainly not one of them.”
