Wests Tigers Empower continues to make a difference

Since its official launch in June, Wests Tigers Empower has continued to make a profound impact in our community.

Featuring front-and-centre on the club’s 2025 training range, Empower, the club’s community arm, has endeavoured to create significant change through a number of initiatives.

The Empower logo represents its three core pillars of Leadership, Careers and Community.

Its three pilot programs, Stripes of Success, Classroom to Careers and Healthy Relationships & Community, have been successfully delivered to schools throughout the year.

Issues of youth unemployment and domestic violence in the Inner West and South-west of Sydney are further overriding themes Empower has addressed during their 2024 school programs.

Empower will also host the inaugural Wests Tigers Pasifika Youth Summit on December 4.

This event will bring together students from across the Inner West and South-western Sydney for a full day of cultural engagement and learning.

Cultural workshops, mentorship discussions and guest panellists will assist the youth in attendance in understanding more about the Pasifika and Māori cultures.

Also falling under the Empower banner is the Wests Tigers Alumni group.

Wests Tigers Alumni have held several successful events in 2024, re-connecting past players with the future direction of Wests Tigers.

Developing a strong community arm such as Empower is a key aspect of the club’s strategic plan.
