Crane handed captaincy honours for historic PDRL Test

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Bryce Crane on captaining Australia in this afternoon’s historic Physical Disability Rugby League Test (PDRL) match against New Zealand in Auckland.

Crane plays a crucial role in the Wests Tigers pathways system as Football Program Coordinator - Wests/Macarthur and is a highly valued member of the Wests Tigers family.

After an injury playing rugby league left him with severe nerve damage, causing paralysis in his right arm, the 22-year-old has since thrived in the PDRL game.

Skippered by Crane, the match was the first time the Aussies have travelled to New Zealand to take on the Kiwis and it was an absolute thriller, with the home side scoring on the game's final play to emerge 20-18 winners.

Crane was the Ability Roos’ best on the day, scoring two tries and setting up another in their narrow defeat.
