Gallant honoured with Club Person of the Year accolade

Wests Tigers Pathways & Recruitment Manager, Shannon Gallant, has expressed his gratitude after being named the 2024 Club Person of the Year.

Wests Tigers Player #112, Gallant returned to the club in November 2020 as Coaching and Development Coordinator and has since become a key contributor to the club’s pathways programs and wider recruitment processes.

Exceptionally dedicated and committed to his role, he also consistently demonstrates team values as a member of Wests Tigers staff.

“I am grateful to be able to wake up and do something that I love every day and thankful for the opportunity Wests Tigers gave me 4 years ago,” Gallant said.

“It is great to work with people every day who are as passionate about our great game as I am and are driven to provide the best opportunity for the club’s aspiring NRL players.

“Special thanks to the pathways team for all of their hard work and support, to Matt Betsey for his leadership and mentoring over the past four years, and to Shane Richardson for his guidance and knowledge, with my role expanding into player recruitment.

“It has been a pleasure to watch some of our players progress through our pathways system and fulfil their dream of playing in the NRL, this after all is the reason I accepted the role.

“Finally, thank you to my wife Brooke and kids Preston and Harper for your encouragement to take on this opportunity four years ago and your understanding of my commitment to this role.”

All at Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Shannon on this significant achievement.
