Judiciary: NRLW Round 8 vs Dragons

Roosters forward Eliza Lopamaua will miss the NRLW semi-final after taking an early guilty plea for a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact charge for a hip-drop tackle. 

The incident occurred in the 15th minute of Sunday's win over the Cowboys when Lopamaua dragged Lillian Yarrow down close to the line. 

The Rooster will sit out with a two-match ban which will include this week's clash with the Eels and next week's semi-final. The Roosters are currently on top of the table and assured a place in the top four regardless of the result in Round 9.

Titans forward Ngatokotoru Arakua has also been handed a two-match ban after her early guilty plea for a Grade 3 Dangerous Contact charge in her side's loss to the Knights in Round 8. 

Arakua was sent to the sin bin for the hip drop style tackle on Knights hooker Nita Maynard and subsequently charged on Sunday. With the Gold Coast's finals hopes now over, any suspension will carry through into the end-of-year Test matches or the 2025 season. 

Titans teammate Sienna Lofipo was charged twice in the space of two minutes for Dangerous Contact, but has avoided a one-match ban for each offence after pleading guilty. 

Zara Canfield has also avoid a one-match ban with an early guilty plea for Dangerous Contact. 

Cowboys forward Tiana Raftstrand-Smith received a Warning after her early guilty plea for her Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge in her side's loss to the Roosters.  

Wests Tigers forwards Brooke Talataina and Najvada George have both also received Warnings for their charges in their win over the Dragons. 

Talataina faced two dangerous contact charges for tackles on St George Illawarra fullback Teagan Berry and strike forward Ella Koster, but avoided suspension with an early plea.

George is also free to play in the team's final match of the season against the Sharks after entering an early plea to a Grade 1 Carless High Tackle charge.
