Match Report: Jersey Flegg Cup Round 26 vs Silktails

Wests Tigers have recorded a 32-0 victory over the Kaiviti Silktails in Fiji to remain in with a shot at sneaking into a place in the Jersey Flegg Cup finals (top five).

Scores were locked at 0-0 until the 14th minute, with both sides making errors as they found their feet until Wests Tigers grabbed their first of the afternoon.

The two 17-year-olds combined for the second week running, as centre Onitoni Large broke the line before delivering a beautiful pass to Heamasi Makasini.

Cayne Nicholas then dived in to score a second for Wests Tigers and Large struck again shortly after.

The young centre’s powerful 30th-minute carry on the left edge allowed Noah Johannssen to score from the ensuing play as the ball was shifted back towards the right.
