Bumper crowd to hit the town

Wests Tigers are expecting a bumper crowd at Campbelltown Sports Stadium for the end of season showdown against Parramatta Eels in Round 27 of the Telstra Premiership.

Those wanting to ‘hit the town’ next Friday night are encouraged to purchase tickets well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Benji’s boys will head into the final match of the season fresh off the bye and high on confidence after back-to-back wins over the Rabbitohs and the Sea Eagles.

The 34-26 victory on Thursday night at a heaving Leichhardt Oval was in fact the first of four triumphs over the Sea Eagles across the weekend, and now sees the NRL team shooting for three consecutive wins to round off the 2024 season.

Our NSW Cup team finished its season with a 40-36 win over Manly’s reserve grade team at Lidcombe Oval on Saturday, following Wests Tigers' 23-22 victory over the Sea Eagles in the Jersey Flegg Cup.

On Sunday back at Leichhardt, our NRLW feeder-team also scored a good win over the Sea Eagles in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership, to make it four from four.

As expected, tickets are moving swiftly for the final game of the season against the Eels, who also have much to play for.

This will be just the second time Wests Tigers have played Parramatta Eels at Campbelltown.

The last time was in 2012, when Benji steered his team back from 22-6 down, to secure a remarkable 51-26 victory.

A feature of that match was a four-try haul to Tigers winger Marika Koroibete, who also put a hit on Chris Sandow which almost sent the Eels half from Leumeah to Minto.
