Wests Tigers have kept their Jersey Flegg Cup finals hopes alive after scoring a 23-22 win over Manly on Saturday afternoon.

In a thrilling affair at Lidcombe Oval, Wests Tigers led by four points at the break, before having to come from behind to secure a narrow victory.
After a grinding start to the first half, the deadlock was broken after 25 minutes through 17-year-old outside back Heamasi Makasini, who scored in the left corner.
The Wests Magpies Harold Matthews Cup graduate scored on debut after being awarded the Player of the Series award for the U/17s competition earlier this year.
Up by six points, Wests Tigers soon extended their lead, with teenage fullback Cameron Kanaan producing a brilliant individual run to score his first try at U/21s level.
Carsen Patu scored for Manly before half-time, with Kallum Weatherall-Stacey’s conversion making it a 10-6 Wests Tigers lead at half-time.
Wests Tigers were first to score in the second half, before Manly hit back with two tries of their own to take a slender lead.
Second-rower, Zakauri Clarke, then scored and converted to put Wests Tigers ahead after 64 minutes, however Una Uasi brought the Sea Eagles level with a 67th minute effort.
With scores locked up at 22-22, Max Liles was once again the hero for this side, as the halfback kicked a field goal with five seconds remaining to give Wests Tigers a crucial victory as they look to sneak into the Jersey Flegg Cup finals.
