Match Preview: NRLW Round 5 vs Broncos

After a narrow defeat to the Eels in Round 4, Wests Tigers take on the Broncos at Leichhardt Oval this Sunday afternoon, as they attempt to score their first victory of the 2024 season.

Brisbane will travel to the Eighth Wonder on the back of two consecutive victories, after taking down the Titans and Raiders in recent weeks.

Wests Tigers have made changes to their lineup for this clash, with two players in line to make their NRLW debuts.

Teenage fullback/outside back, Tiana-Lee Thorne, has impressed for the club’s NSW Women’s Premiership side in 2024 and will play her first match on the wing in place of Tess Staines.

New signing, Montana Clifford, will also make her maiden NRLW appearance after the 20-year-old forward joined the club this week.

Clifford will line up in the second row in place of Shaianne McGlone.

Ebony Prior will take Jess Kennedy’s place on the interchange bench, with the dummy-half set to add spark to the Wests Tigers attack after making a successful return from injury last weekend in the NSW Women’s Premiership.

The Broncos have made just one injury-enforced change, with Brianna Clark replacing Jasmine Fogavini (shoulder) in the forward pack.
