Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall has been inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame, along with another ten players who have made extraordinary contributions to rugby league.
Marshall is best remembered for his dazzling array of tricks which so often bamboozled defences, including ‘that pass' in the 2005 Grand Final victory over the Cowboys.
Relive those moments here.
As well as leading Wests Tigers to the club’s first ever Premiership Marshall was a hero for his homeland New Zealand, guiding the Kiwis to World Cup glory in 2008.
Hall of Fame Inductee #123, Marshall, holds the record for the most points scored for Wests Tigers, having amassed 1181 points in 14 seasons at the club.
Congratulations also to Balmain legend Benny Elias and former Western Suburbs forward Les Boyd, who have also been inducted to the NRL Hall of Fame in 2024.
Elias played 235 matches at Balmain between 1982 and 1994, helping the Tigers to consecutive Grand Finals in 1988 and 1989. He also played 19 State of Origin games for NSW and six appearances for Australia.
Boyd was a tough and uncompromising forward who played 67 matches for the Magpies across four seasons in the 1970s, as well as 17 tests for Australia.
Wests Tigers would like to congratulate all players who have been inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame.
