Match Report: NSW Cup Round 22 vs Roosters

Western Suburbs Magpies have fallen to a heavy 64-6 NSW Cup defeat to the Roosters at Lidcombe Oval.

The visitors dominated proceedings from start to finish on Saturday afternoon, taking a 34-0 half-time lead and furthering their point-scoring haul into the second stanza.

Teenage winger Tyreece Tait’s opening try was followed by a seventh NSW Cup four-pointer of the season for centre Kyron Fekitoa.

The young brigade for the Roosters continued to impress as five-eighth Jake Elliott scored, before Tait collected a second.

Callum Gromek and Zach Dockar-Clay crossed to extend the winning margin for the Tricolours, with Hugo Savala kicking five from six first-half goals to make it 34-0 at the break.
