Local junior moves into NRL Top 30

Wests Tigers is pleased to announce that Luke Laulilii has been elevated to the NRL Top 30 for the remainder of this season.

The 18-year-old outside back, who was on a training contract, recently made his NRL debut against the Raiders in Round 16.

Luke, and his 19-year-old brother Kit, are both signed to Top 30 contracts in 2025 and 2026.

The Liverpool Catholic Club juniors have been in the club’s elite development program for several years and were members of Wests Magpies premiership-winning Harold Matthews Cup team in 2022.

Luke's maiden first grade appearance was one week after his 18th birthday, when he became the 10th player to make his NRL debut with Wests Tigers this season.

Coach Benji Marshall says it’s rewarding when local juniors make their way through the grades.

Luke and Kit have worked very hard to get to where they are today.

“They've each had a taste of first grade, and I look forward to seeing them continue to develop with us over the next few years.”
