Match Preview: Round 17 vs Roosters

Wests Tigers are hunting for a third straight win when they tackle the fourth-placed Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.

After back-to-back victories against the Titans and Raiders, ‘Benji’s babes’ will again need to rise to the occasion against a team which has won six of its last eight games, including a 26-8 victory over the Bulldogs last weekend in Gosford.

On the back of their recent good form the tricolours have provided a handful of players to Origin, with Angus Crichton, Lindsay Collins, Connor Watson and Spencer Leniu all expected to back up from Origin two.

Wests Tigers will be brimming with confidence after a comprehensive victory over the Raiders last weekend, which was assisted by the welcome return of Adam Doueihi, 441 days after his last NRL game.

Another highlight from that game was the introduction to first grade of young winger Luke Laulilii, one week after his 18th birthday.
