Match Report: NSW Cup Round 15 vs Warriors

The Warriors have come away with a dominant 36-6 victory over the Magpies at Leichhardt Oval in Round 15 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup.

Leading 6-0 at half-time, the away side ran away with the result in the second stanza.

The weather affected the early proceedings of the match, before the Warriors posted first points after 27 minutes through winger Motu Pasikala.

Luke Hanson then split the Magpies defence and showed good pace to cross in the corner and extend the visiting side’s lead.

The Warriors scored a third of the afternoon when Harry Durbin caught a cross-field kick from Ben Farr, before Moala Graham-Taufa scored a 70m intercept try.

The New Zealand outfit capped off a dominant attacking performance with two late tries to Leka Halasima and Rodney Tuipulotu-Vea.

The Magpies scored their only try of the match in impressive fashion when Bailey Hodges chipped over the top and regathered to score under the posts in the 72nd minute.

Zak Clarke’s conversion made it a 36-6 full-time scoreline in favour of the Warriors at Leichhardt.

Playing his first game in more than 400 days it was a successful return to action for Adam Doueihi following a third knee reconstruction.

He played a dominant role in the No.7 jersey and came through the match unscathed.
