Match Preview: NRL Round 9 vs Bulldogs

Wests Tigers take on Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at Accor Stadium, desperately hoping to end a four-game losing streak.

It’s been a tough couple of weeks for the Tigers against last season’s two best teams (Panthers and Broncos), and the Bulldogs are also a team that is up and about.

Prior to last weekend’s bye, the Bulldogs enjoyed victories at Accor Stadium over both the Roosters and Knights, and had a two-point loss to the Storm in Melbourne.

Coach Benji Marshall is sticking with the same team that lined up against the Broncos, a vote of confidence that this group can get the job done.

There is a distinct Panthers’ flavour to this game as well, with so many former Penrith teammates now lining up for both sides.

Api Koroisau is expected to shrug off a lower back injury, joining Brent Naden and Charlie Staines up against the likes of other former Panthers in Viliame Kikau, Stephen Crichton and Matt Burton.
