Match Report: NSW Cup Round 8 vs Bears

Western Suburbs Magpies suffered a 28-16 loss to the North Sydney Bears in Round 8 of the NSW Cup at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The home side led 12-6 at half time before conceding four second half tries.

The home side’s first half try scorers were middle forwards Reuben Porters and Justin Matamua, with Solomona Faataape scoring the Magpies' only try of the second half.

That brought the home side to within two points of the Bears, trailing 18-16 with 19 minutes to play, before the Melbourne Storm feeder club posted two tries in the final ten minutes to claim a hard-fought victory.
