Match Report: Jersey Flegg Cup Round 7 vs Panthers

Wests Tigers have defeated the Panthers 20-18 in Round 7 of the Jersey Flegg Cup at BlueBet Stadium, Penrith.

Wests Tigers held on to win a see-sawing game that went right down the wire, separated only by a Naati Teaupa conversion of a Chris Faagutu try.

Wests Tigers centre Solomone continued his try scoring streak, posting the first two tries of the match to make it 8-nil to the visitors.

The Panthers hit back with two tries of their own to make it 8-8 at the break.

Both teams bagged two tries in the second half and the game was again all square at 14-14 when Teaupa converted a Sione Vaihu try.

The Panthers regained the lead through a try to centre Angelis Hotere-Papali before Faagutu's converted try just past the hour mark, put the visitors ahead by two.

The Tigers dug deep to hold on to that lead and secured their fourth win of the season.
