Match Report: Jersey Flegg Cup Round 2 vs Raiders

Wests Tigers have suffered a 36-nil defeat to Canberra Raiders in the Jersey Flegg Cup at GIO Stadium.

The Raiders led 12-nil at half time, running in a further four unanswered tries, to cruise to a comfortable win against a team which constantly coughed up possession.

The home side scored after just three minutes with a sweeping play to the left, sending winger Jesse Limon in untouched.

Wests Tigers got themselves back in the grind before right edge forward Noah Martin collected an awkward bounce from a kick in behind to extend the Raiders’ lead to 12-nil.

Ill-discipline and poor completions continued in the second half for the visitors.

A dropped ball coming out of trouble led to a third Raiders try five minutes into the second half when dummy half Owen Pattie barged over from close range 18-0.

The Raiders fourth try also came from a Wests Tigers' error, when left centre Regan Carr strolled down a skinny blindside to score.

The Raiders continued to exploit some brittle right edge defence to score a further two tries, all six in total converted by half Mitch Henderson.
