BTR Pre-season Podcast: Jordan Miller

Wests Tigers official podcast Behind The Roar is shining a light on some of the club’s younger players over summer, as preparations continue ahead of the 2024 NRL season.

BTR is available on Apple, Spotify and YouTube.

The pre-season series includes five players who are on NRL Development contracts and five who are part of the club’s top-30 roster. Six are yet to make their NRL debut, and all but one has played in Wests Tigers pathways teams.

This week we chat to 18-year-old prop, Jordan Miller, who has progressed through Wests Tigers pathways and into the top-30 squad.

The Campbelltown junior is joined in the NRL squad by several teammates from Wests Magpies 2022 premiership-winning Harold Matthews team.

He talks about the importance of his connection with those former pathways’ teammates, how he’s enjoying his second pre-season with the NRL squad, and his junior footy days playing at a handful of clubs in South Western Sydney.

The former Australian Schoolboys representative also talks about his plan to trim down to ‘around 120kg’, and how he is willing to be patient on his path to an NRL debut.

Whenever the time comes, whether it’s next season or after that, I’ll be ready.
