The home team dominated from start to finish with the team’s young brigade of Tallyn Da Silva, Chris Faagutu and Kit Laulilii proving particularly impressive.
Jay Kirk posted first points, with Josh Feledy’s slick offload sending the winger over for his twelfth try of the season.
They went back-to-back just three minutes later when Iverson Matai produced a neat grubber close to the line, allowing Kirk to plant the ball down for his second.
Chris Faagutu crashed over under the posts to extend Wests Tigers lead, before Mikey Tannous’ dummy and run set Tallyn Da Silva up to make it 20-0 after 20 minutes.
Da Silva burrowed over adjacent to the uprights for his second four-pointer of the day to make it a 26-0 lead at the break.
The onslaught continued to begin the second half, with Lomi Saukuru offloading to Kit Laulilii for his third try at Jersey Flegg Cup level.
After Souths scored their first try of the afternoon through Dranza Hawe-De-Thierry, a crisp pass from Da Silva off the deck put Josh Feledy through and made it a 38-6 Wests Tigers lead.
Aaron Macey’s try was met by Wests Tigers’ eighth four-pointer of the afternoon, with Tray Lolesio strolling over under the sticks.
Macey scored his second for Souths, before Wests Tigers scored arguably their best try of the day, with Faagutu busting through and offloading to Bailey Hodges, who put Heath Mason over for a first Jersey Flegg Cup try.
Kirk secured his hat-trick on full-time to cement a 56-14 Wests Tigers win at Lidcombe Oval.
