Judiciary: Twal to miss one match

All three Wests Tigers players who were charged for separate incidents in the team’s Round 18 loss to the Cowboys have accepted early guilty pleas.

Prop Alex Twal will miss Thursday’s Round 19 home game against the Sharks after taking the early guilty plea for a Grade One Dangerous Contact offence on Cowboys’ forward Luciano Leilua.

Twal was facing a two-match ban if he fought the charge and was found guilty at the judiciary.

Isaiah Papali'i has taken the early guilty plea after being charged with Dangerous Contact on Griffin Neame in the 77th minute in Townsville. He’s accepted a $3000 fine.

Jake Simpkin has also accepted an early guilty plea for a Dangerous Throw charge in the 76th minute, also on Neame.

He’s accepted a $2500 rather than risk a two-match ban if he fought the charge and was found guilty.
