NRLW players deliver first School Blitz

Wests Tigers NRLW players have taken part in the club’s very first NRLW School Blitz, in conjunction with NRL Game Development staff.

The NRLW School Blitz, presented by DSS, delivers the Wests Tigers Teach Program, which focusses on healthy relationships.

Seventeen of Wests Tigers inaugural playing squad have been out and about at schools discussing with students the importance of communication, teamwork and having a strong support network.

Each one-hour session includes both in-class and physical activity components, creating an engaging learning environment for students, where they hear first-hand experiences from Wests Tigers NRLW players.

The 2023 NRLW School Blitz was delivered across Greater Sydney including the Wests Tigers traditional catchments including, Ryde, Concord, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden and Bowral.

Community Engagement Coordinator, Kenneth Tuala says the first NRLW Blitz was a great success.

“It was fabulous to see our NRLW athletes engaging with so many students,” said Tuala.

“The School Blitz is something our NRL team has been doing for some time, and it's been very effective.

It's so good that we now have our NRLW athletes also working with us in the community.
