Great day at the track

By all reports it was a great day at the track when players past and present gathered with Wests Tigers members and fans for the club’s Legends Race Day at Royal Randwick.

Jockeys, trainers, and other colourful characters filled the room, telling a few good yarns, tipping the odd winner, and mingling freely with Wests Tigers sponsors and guests.

Wests Tigers Life Members John Skandalis and Chris Lawrence were joined by other former players including Tim Grant, Malakai Watene-Zelezniak, Steve Lavers and Mick Liubinskas.

The event was hosted by Sky Sports Radio presenter Gerard Middleton, raising funds though raffles and auction, for Wests Tigers Foundation.

Well-known racing personalities were invited on stage for a chat, including Group 1-winning jockeys Chad Schofield & Regan Bayliss, former jockey Neil Paine, and trainer Will Freedman.

Wests Tigers would like to thank all who attended this year's Legends Race Day and the Australian Turf Club for its hospitality.
