The NSWRL has announced the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Under 19s squad for the Women’s Under 19s State of Origin match at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe on Thursday 13 July.
Included in the squad is Wests Tigers NRLW development player, Brooke Talataina, who played for the Roosters Tarsha Gale Cup side this year.
The New Zealand-born 18-year-old was named ‘best back’ for the Roosters Under 19s in 2023, and is one of 14 Wests Tigers NRLW players on multi-year deals.
The squad will be coached by Kate Mullaly, who is an assistant coach for the Harvey Norman NSW Sky Blues, and includes players who took part in the 2023 Harvey Norman Tarsha Gale Cup.
The Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Under 19s team has not been beaten since the concept first started in 2019, winning every year apart from 2020 when the game was not played due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
