Venue: Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Sydney
The home side will have to overcome the loss of Stefano Utoikamanu, who has been selected to make his debut for the Blues in next week’s State of Origin match.
Utoikamanu will be joined on the sidelines by skipper Api Koroisau and halfback Luke Brooks after the pair suffered injuries in last week’s loss on the Gold Coast.
Brandon Wakeham will shift from five-eighth to halfback to cover the loss of Brooks, with Tim Sheens turning to Starford To’a to wear the number six jersey.
Jake Simpkin will start at hooker, while exciting young prospect Tallyn Da Silva will make his NRL debut off the interchange bench.
A highly talented product of Westfield Sports High School, Da Silva worked his way through the Magpies pathways system before impressing in his two NSW Cup appearances this season.
Melbourne will also be missing cavalry on Saturday night with Harry Grant, Cameron Munster and Xavier Coates all selected for Queensland.
