Wests Tigers has today unveiled its redesigned 2023 Commemorative Jersey, which will be worn in our ANZAC Round match against Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
This new design pays tribute to the sacrifices made by ANZAC troops, and the important role played by the local community in supporting them.
The front of the redesigned jersey shows a silhouette of an ANZAC soldier against a backdrop of a setting sun.
The back of the jersey features poppies as a symbol of remembrance, and a way to honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The back also features crosses marking the graves of the soldiers as a tribute to the ultimate price paid by these brave men and women.
The camouflage pattern on the jersey is a replica grey-scaled version of the current Australian Army.
The player-worn jerseys will be auctioned after the match, with all proceeds going to our ANZAC Round matchday charity partner, Legacy.
Wests Tigers would like to reiterate to our members and supporters that, as a club, we will continue to embrace the ANZAC spirit, this year and in years to come.
Wests Tigers will wear the redesigned jersey against Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, Sunday 23rd April.
