One of the newest locations is on the doorstep of Wests Tigers home ground, Campbelltown Sports Stadium, at Minto.

Senior Marketing Manager ANZ, Simone Magas says the Sims Metal story has been evolving for over a century.

"It all began in 1917 when Albert G. Sims opened a scrap yard in Sydney and has grown town by town, state by state, and internationally, to what we now know as the world’s leading metal recycler," Magas said.

Our purpose is to create a world without waste to preserve our planet.

"This drives us to constantly innovate and offer new solutions in the circular economy for consumers, businesses, governments, and communities around the world.

"At Sims Metal we are committed to actively support all of the communities where we live and work.

"By sponsoring local teams, partnering with schools, charity associations and councils we strengthen the bond with our people as well as make a positive impact on their lives.”

Wests Tigers Sponsorship Executive, John Skandalis says it’s great to have what is a local success story, on board.

“I grew up in Minto and am so pleased to see a business like Sims Metal open a metal recycling facility in Minto, supporting jobs and manufacturing in the region," Skandalis said.

Although Sims Metal has a global reach it is very community focussed.
