Wests Tigers travel to Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon to face the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 3 of the Telstra Premiership.
The match will be the club’s first NRL appearance at the historic suburban venue, which previously played host to the Balmain Tigers and Western Suburbs Magpies on 127 occasions dating back to 1936.
Wests Tigers head coach Tim Sheens has been forced into a number of team changes, headlined by Charlie Staines’ shift to fullback in place of the injured Daine Laurie.
Shawn Blore returns to the second row to cover the absence of Isaiah Papali’i, while Fonua Pole reclaims his starting lock role.
After suffering a broken nose against Newcastle, Tommy Talau has been replaced by Starford To’a, who will partner former Bulldog Brent Naden in the centres.
Cameron Ciraldo has elected to name an unchanged lineup from his side’s impressive victory in Melbourne against the Storm last Saturday.
While the Bulldogs have a dominant record against Wests Tigers, the joint-venture has won four of the last six matches against their rivals from the Inner West.
