Podcast: BTR Episode 2 with Tim Sheens

Tim Sheens joins Chris Warren on episode two of the official Wests Tigers podcast, Behind The Roar.

Sheens chats about some of the key talking points heading into the opening round of the 2023 NRL season.

He touches on several topics including the process behind the selection of this year’s team captain, how Api Koroisau can ‘unlock’ Luke Brooks, how Benji Marshall is adapting to his new coaching role, and the influence the late great Jack Gibson had on shaping him as a coach.

Api is in a class of his own and I think Penrith will miss him.

Sheens also talks about some of his ‘bucket list’ items post retirement, a penchant for some of the coldest places on earth, and tactfully dodges a question or two about the greatest players to have played the game.

Offloads and shifting the ball is something we do a lot of, and we're encouraging them to do that.

All that and much more in Episode 2 of Behind The Roar, available on Apple and Spotify.

Behind The Roar (BTR) will drop every Wednesday throughout the season and will be the ‘go to’ place for breaking news, quirky stories, and key issues surrounding the club.
