There were smiles all round at the Zurich Centre on Saturday where the club held its Members Christmas BBQ.
More than one thousand Members attended the event, and for many, it was their first visit to the club’s new Centre of Excellence.
It was a sea of colour at Concord, festive red and green, blending with orange, black and white, as Members freely mingled with players and staff.
Face painting, pass-the-ball, photos with Santa, autograph stations, you name it…everywhere you looked, there was something happening.
Sausages sizzled as Christmas carols played, while Members of all ages rubbed shoulders with their favourite players.
The new Roarstore, which only opened last week, proved very popular. Members were quick to snap up some of the latest official Wests Tigers apparel and smaller items to be used as stocking fillers.
Richard from West Ryde, who was born on Christmas Day, has been a Wests Tigers Member for five years.
“I think the club has done a great job putting this on for us,” he said.
It’s so easy and comfortable mingling with the players, and they have made me feel so welcome."

The Borg family have been supporting the club since its inception.
Father Daniel says his four children have been Wests Tigers Members since the day they were born.
“They’ve all been born into the Wests Tigers way,” he said
“It’s a perfect day, and really lovely to be here with the players and other Members.”
Wests Tigers also celebrated a significant membership milestone at the weekend, as the club surpassed the 15,000 Members mark.
