Match Preview: Jersey Flegg Elimination Final

Wests Tigers will travel to Kogarah on Sunday morning to face St George Illawarra Dragons in the Elimination Final of the Jersey Flegg Cup.

The winner of the clash will advance to face the loser of Saturday afternoon’s Qualification Final between the Penrith Panthers and Newcastle Knights.

The Dragons are a familiar opponent for Scott Kenna’s men, who faced the red-and-white at Leichhardt Oval last weekend.

St George Illawarra emerged victorious on that occasion, but Wests Tigers will welcome back a host of stars who were absent while deputising in higher grades.

Wests Tigers also boast a powerful bench, with Sione Fainu and Apisalome Saukuru rated as two of the club’s brightest young talents.

Despite a number of interruptions to the squad this season, Wests Tigers finished the year in fifth after winning four of their last five matches.

Why not treat Dad to a Father's Day double? Kogarah in the morning for Flegg, and then Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt.

Those unable to get to Kogarah can watch online via NSWRL TV or the live stream on the New South Wales Rugby League Facebook page.
