Match Preview: Round 25 vs Canberra Raiders

Wests Tigers will be looking to end their season on a positive note when they return to Leichhardt Oval on Sunday to face the Canberra Raiders in the final match of the 2022 regular season.

The match may have significant ramifications for the makeup of the top eight as Canberra will need a victory to secure a finals berth if Brisbane defeat the Dragons on Saturday

Brett Kimmorley’s men will be aiming to exact revenge on the Raiders after they cruelled Wests Tigers hopes in a similar fashion at Leichhardt Oval in the final round of the 2016 season.

The hosts’ chances will be bolstered by the inclusion of Ken Maumalo and Luke Garner, while James Tamou will return from suspension for what could be the final match of his glittering NRL career.

Wests Tigers and the Canberra Raiders have not played against each other in 18 months and have not faced off at Leichhardt Oval since 2016.
