Wests Tigers players Luke Brooks and Alex Twal, together with NRL Development Officers, have been out and about delivering students at Concord High School with new playing jerseys.

Located only a stone’s throw from Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence, Concord High School is committed to helping our club make rugby league the sport of choice in the Inner West.

Part of the visit was to hand over a new set of playing jerseys and shorts, which have been donated to the school by the Wests Tigers Foundation.

Teacher, Dean Johnson says rugby league continues to grow in popularity at his school, “We’re thankful that Wests Tigers are investing time and effort in helping us to help the sport.

This year we had our very first girls' team, which is just brilliant."

Being on the doorstep of the club’s new HQ obviously helps but I’ve seen a strong presence by Wests Tigers in many schools in the area."

Our students were thrilled to see Alex and Luke today. Both players interacted so comfortably with the students."

"The club has been so helpful lending us jerseys, shorts and socks for our team to wear in carnivals and gala days. Now thanks to the Wests Tigers Foundation, we have new kit, which we'll wear with pride."

Wests Tigers conducted similar visits across the South Western Sydney region earlier in the year, distributing playing kits to a number of schools including James Meehan High School, Ambarvale High School and Elderslie High School.
