Tamou to challenge grading at NRL Judiciary

James Tamou will front the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night in a bid to play one last game this season.

The Wests Tigers captain was sent off for dissent in the final minute against the Roosters on Saturday night and was subsequently charged with Grade 3 Contrary Conduct.

The Grade 3 charge carries a two-match ban with an early plea. Tamou is pleading guilty to Contrary Conduct but is challenging the grading.

If successful, he will be free to play against Canberra Raiders at Leichhardt Oval on Father’s Day, Sunday 4th September.
