Wests Tigers have suffered a comprehensive 72-6 defeat to the Sydney Roosters in their final away match of the season.

The visitors were unable to match the firepower of Trent Robinson’s squad, who have now won six consecutive matches as they continue their march up the ladder.
Wests Tigers were immediately placed on the back foot as Luke Garner’s head was slammed into the hallowed turf in the third minute of play.
The second-rower was forced off for a head injury assessment and did not return for the remainder of the night.
The Roosters went on an early attacking raid, but Wests Tigers repelled them from the line in four consecutive sets.
However, Brett Kimmorley’s men couldn’t continue to hold the hosts out as Nat Butcher eventually crossed for the first points of the match.
Angus Crichton extended the Roosters’ lead with a bargeover try in the 21st minute, before completing his double four minutes later.
Not to be outdone by his counterpart, Nat Butcher then crossed for his second of the night to push the lead to 24 points.
Despite showing some promise late in the half, a try to James Tedesco left the visitors trailing 30-0 at half-time.
The try scoring continued after the break as Connor Watson stepped past multiple Wests Tigers defenders on his way to the line before Drew Hutchison crossed for his second try of the season.
Nat Butcher completed the first hat-trick of his career in the 52nd minute and a Daniel Tupou double saw the Roosters bring up the half-century. brought up the half-century for the Roosters.
A late intercept try to Brent Naden broke the deadlock for the visitors, before Nat Butcher nabbed his fourth try of the match.
James Tamou was given his marching orders in the final minute of play, allowing Matt Lodge to crash over for a try to finish the game.
Wests Tigers will now turn their attention to next Sunday’s home game against the St George Illawarra Dragons at CommBank Stadium.
