Injury Update: Round 23

Team physiotherapist Kenny Michalopoulos provides an update on the latest injuries at the Wests Tigers heading into Round 23.

There were no major injuries to report from our Round 22 loss to Cronulla Sharks in Tamworth.

Luke Brooks is now three weeks post left calf strain and is progressing a weighted strength program without issue. He will be commencing a rehab running program early next week.

Jackson Hastings is now two weeks post right fibula fixation and syndesmosis repair. He is currently non-weight bearing in the boot for another 2-3 weeks before commencing the strength phase of the program.

Stefano Utoikamanu is now five weeks post repair of a scaphoid fracture and is progressing and healing well. He has commenced light individual skills and is on track to commence contact training in the next 2-3 weeks.

Tommy Talau is progressing very well and has now commenced early team integration and will be ready to resume normal training in the pre-season ahead.

Shawn Blore is now 6 month post ACL reconstruction and is also coming along nicely with his running program. He should be ready to return to controlled team training drills in the pre-season.

Alex Twal continues to remain in non-contact training and will do so until his next specialist review later this year.
