Luke Brooks has been ruled out of Saturday’s Women in League Round match against Brisbane Broncos after picking up a calf injury in training on Wednesday.
Team physiotherapist Kenny Michalopoulos says Brooks can expect to be out for 5-6 weeks.
Jock Madden is likely to slot into half back against the Broncos with Jackson Hastings retaining his position at lock.
Interim coach Brett Kimmorley admits it’s a blow for Brooks but is confident his replacement is ready to fill the void.
“Jock has done well for us whenever he’s been called upon this season.
He’s a quality player and I know he’ll make the most of this opportunity.”
