Wests Tigers will be looking to start their Queensland road trip on a winning note when they face the Cowboys at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
James Tamou will make his 300th NRL appearance against the club he debuted for in 2009, adding extra significance to this milestone match.
Coach Brett Kimmorley has been forced to self-isolate after contracting Covid and will not travel to Townsville.
In other team news, Tamou’s return pushes Zane Musgrove to the bench, while Brent Naden is set to make his return from a four-match suspension.
Tyrone Peachey and Alex Seyfarth have been added to the interchange bench, with David Nofoaluma listed in the reserves after missing last week’s match through illness.
The Cowboys have named Valentine Holmes, Tom Dearden and Jeremiah Nanai after the trio were rested last weekend, while Luciano Leilua will face his former side for the first time.
Wests Tigers will be hoping to remain unbeaten at Queensland Country Bank Stadium and continue their strong record against the Cowboys.
