Naden to miss four NRL games

Wests Tigers centre Brent Naden will miss the next four NRL games after accepting an early guilty plea to a Grade Three dangerous tackle.

Naden was sent off for a lifting tackle on Jake Trbojevic midway through the second half of Wests Tigers Round 14 loss to Manly at Campbelltown on Sunday.

The mid-season recruit will miss this Sunday’s game against his former club Canterbury Bulldogs, as well as games against the Warriors, Eels and Panthers.

Naden will be available for selection for the team’s Round 19 match against the Cowboys in Townsville.

Coach Brett Kimmorley says it's a chance for another player to step up.

Obviously, it's really disappointing for Brent, but he’s accepted the penalty, and will do the time

Brett Kimmorley

It’s an opportunity now for someone else to step up. Whoever that is, I'm sure he will make the most of this opportunity."
