Match Report: Round 14 Jersey Flegg Cup vs Manly Sea Eagles

Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg team showed real adversity to secure a come-from-behind win over Manly on Sunday morning.

After Sione Fainu crossed early against his former club, Manly scored three consecutive tries to take control of the contest.

Livai Saukuru returned to the Jersey Flegg side this weekend after a stint in NSW Cup, and the centre proved that his senior experience was valuable, crossing for a double to put the Magpies ahead.

Halfback and Captain Kade Hill was again a standout, steering the ship for the home side, along with crafty hooker Michael Tannous, who scored his fourth try in three games.

NRL Development Player Brandon Tumeth has continued his successful return from injury, starting in the second row for the second week running.

With the 22-20 win, Wests Tigers move into fifth position on the ladder and will be looking to enter the top four with a victory over Canterbury-Bankstown at Belmore next weekend.
