Match Preview: Round 8 vs Dragons

After back-to-back victories over the Eels and Rabbitohs at CommBank Stadium, Wests Tigers will now travel to Wollongong for Sunday’s clash against the St. George Illawarra Dragons.

Michael Maguire has elected to make two changes to the lineup that defeated South Sydney, with Oliver Gildart replacing the injured Daine Laurie and Kelma Tuilagi returning from illness.

Starford To’a will shift to fullback to cover Laurie’s absence, while Alex Seyfarth will move to the interchange bench and look to replicate his impact from last week’s match.

After beating the Roosters on Anzac Day, the Dragons have lost Jayden Su’a to an ankle injury but named Jack Bird despite a suspected broken arm.

If Bird misses the clash, Talatau Amone is expected to fill the five-eighth role with either Tyrell Sloan or Cody Ramsay moving onto the interchange bench.

Wests Tigers will be eager to improve on their strong record in Wollongong, with the club winning four of their five clashes at WIN Stadium.

The two joint-ventures have met on forty occasions, with both sides coming out victorious in twenty matches each.
