Wests Tigers unveil new look ahead of 2022 NRL seasonWests Tigers have proudly unveiled a new logo and brand as the club embarks on a new direction for the 2022 season and beyond.
The revitalisation of the Wests Tigers logo and brand coincides with the construction of the club’s new Centre of Excellence, which is scheduled to open in March 2022.
While retaining key elements of the previous Wests Tigers logo, the updated brand and logo highlights a number of changes to the iconic tiger face and head including simplified and modernised elements to ensure digital compatibility.
The new logo is a natural progression from the previous logo — ensuring the rich history of Wests Tigers is still encased within — while also providing an up-to-date modern look.
Of note, a reduction to the edges and thin lines helps to ensure the logo can translate to any digital or physical format. Colours have been reduced to the three brand colours of orange, black and white, while the “Wests Tigers” wordmark has also been updated to have a more contemporary and fierce appearance.
Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said the club was pleased to unveil the new design.
“We’re very excited to share these updates of the Wests Tigers brand,” Pascoe said.
“As the club continues to move forward in an ever-increasing digital age, this design ensures that Wests Tigers is firmly positioned for the future ahead.
“The redesign of our logo has been an extensive process in consultation with many different parties to ensure we recognise the history of Wests Tigers since its establishment in 2000 from two extremely proud foundation clubs. While pointing to our history, this update will ensure that the Wests Tigers brand remains recognisable with a strong digital presence as we look forward to a future of innovation and sustained success.
“With the official completion of our Centre of Excellence in the coming months, we are about to embark on an incredibly exciting new era for Wests Tigers and the revitalisation of our logo and brand aligns with the bright future that lies ahead.”
Wests Tigers players Luke Brooks and Daine Laurie, who were both announced as the club’s 2021 Players of the Year earlier this week, said the new logo was exciting for the team.
“It’s a pretty special thing that we get to be the first team to wear the new logo, knowing how many Wests Tigers players will wear it into the future,” Brooks said.
“It’s a good step forward for the club as we move into a new era for Wests Tigers with the Centre of Excellence being finished too and I think it’s a great look for us.

“It’s also great that it stays similar to what’s been before but setting us up for the future,” Laurie added. “It’s going to be a great thing to have as part of the club for the future and we’re all looking forward to wearing it proudly when we get on the field next year.”
The unveiling of the new Wests Tigers logo also coincides with the launch of the club’s 2022 Membership program, which will officially be on sale on October 7.
The logo will also feature on all official club merchandise — to be launched on December 1 — as well as the Wests Tigers website and marketing materials.
